Comprehensive Counseling Service provides
professional counseling services
for children ages 3-17. Counseling is done
in our offices or in local school buildings for children who:
- Suddenly have behavior
problems
- Lose interest in school
- Show loss of appetite, have
sleep problems, mistreat pets, seem despondent
- Suddenly become quiet,
secretive
- Talk about death
inappropriately
- Local schools refer over 75
kids to us yearly.
- Our counselors use talk and
play therapy, consult with parents and school personnel.
- Comprehensive Counseling
Service received 60 youth referrals in 2001 from Children's Service Board, our
county child advisory agency.
- 250 children's cases were
opened in 2001
- Many children can be seen due
to having a medical card which helps with payment. We also have the ability to
work with a large number of insurance companies.
